Show Notes

Are you waiting for clarity, or are you really waiting for certainty?

Many of us spend so much time researching, praying, asking for advice, and weighing every possible outcome that we never move forward. It’s rarely because we don’t know what to do; instead, we’re hoping someone or something will remove the risk of making the “wrong” choice.

We're exploring the difference between clarity and certainty, why we keep negotiating with ourselves even after we know the truth, and how self-trust grows when we’re willing to take the next honest step.

You’ll also hear:

If you're learning to trust your own voice again, this episode is an invitation to stop negotiating with what you already know.

So, explorers, let's dive into today's episode. [00:00:53] Speaker B: Hey explorers, it's Tara. Karen and I are so glad that you pressed play today. Over the past two weeks, we've worked on rebuilding self trust and learning to hear the voice beneath the noise. But eventually, every journey reaches the same place. A choice. It's one thing to hear the voice beneath the noise. It's another thing to follow it, to [00:01:23] Speaker C: make the choice of the voice and not the choice of the noise. [00:01:28] Speaker B: Okay, Dr. Seuss. And so today we are looking at a question that can be freeing, but also a little bit uncomfortable. What if you already know what you need to do? [00:01:41] Speaker C: Yeah, let's pause and chew on that for a minute. What if you already know what you need to do? Spoiler alert. You do. [00:01:52] Speaker B: So, like, I have noticed, and I am speaking from personal experience, I'm not talking about nobody else but myself right here in this moment. I have noticed that a lot of times I would say that I am looking for clarity. Like once I talk to this person, I'll do this. Once I get a little bit more knowledge about this thing, then I'll do this. Or maybe I just need a little bit more time in the pursuit of clarity. When, baby, what I was really looking for was certainty. [00:02:25] Speaker C: And girl, all of those three things you just said were like, that's like high level procrastination. [00:02:31] Speaker B: Like, that's like a master procrastinator. [00:02:33] Speaker C: The line that is like, it doesn't get slicker than that. [00:02:38] Speaker B: I will trick myself into saying it can wait until later with the best of them. And sometimes this procrastination, this waiting, it is wisdom. Because not everything deserves an immediate reaction or response. Sometimes getting more information is really the next step. But a lot of times, but many times, many times, we keep looking for answers because we're secretly hoping that one of those answers will help us avoid the decision that we already know that we need to make. [00:03:11] Speaker C: Yeah, preach on that. And. And honestly, do you notice too that sometimes I think we pause when we think there's a right and wrong answer. But my friends, there is not a right or wrong answer. There is only your choice. And then the repercussions or consequences of that choice. And maybe it's wonderful and great, and maybe it steers you in a different direction, and maybe it means you have to stop altogether and completely pivot. But making the choice and taking the action, that's where the power is. When we pause, and I'm speaking to specifically, right, the inner guidance, right? Those nudges that we get where we pause because we're like, ooh, but how will my partner feel about that? Or, oh, what will I do with my kids if I'm doing that? You know? And all of these things that come up, these questions and these, like, ah, like, that's all gonna get figured out when you make the choice and you take the action, right? Like, all of the details will get figured out. There's no right or wrong. That's what I'm trying to say. [00:04:15] Speaker B: And sometimes this negotiation happens because we do know what it'll cost us to say yes, to say no, or to simply just follow our truth. Like, we know what it'll cost us. And sometimes we not willing to pay the cost because we're comfortable where we are. Where we are is very familiar. And, baby, over there in the unknown, like, what happens over there, what happens on the other side of this choice? Or it'll shift a relationship in a foundational way, and that makes us really uncomfortable. [00:04:47] Speaker C: So true. I've experienced that even recently in my own life. Like, wow, I see this thing out there and taking steps toward it, but there's a hesitation in my heart because, like, what does it mean in terms of my consistent relationship or my very present relationship, like, with my children, for instance, like. Like, if I'm out there traveling and speaking and doing all the things and I'm in internationally, like, how is that going to affect the connection that I have with them? And that does give me pause. Like, that's, like, that makes me, like, it catches my breath. But I also know that if the thing is calling you, there's this moment of just absolute hands off. Like, you know, cooks, hands up, kind of a. Just letting, like, making the decision and letting it roll out, knowing that it really is for your highest good. And that, yeah, when I come from it, like, the universe is a friendly universe. It gets a friendly place. Like, shit's not gonna come at me because I'm making this decision. Like, it's gonna work out. When I come from that place of really deep, like, trust, self trust and trust of the whole Monty, the universe, then It's a lot easier to make the choice. But I definitely know that feeling, that dichotomy between, well, here's the thing, and I know it, and I feel called to it. But then here's a couple of the. You know, and it's not easy. It's not easy to necessarily stand in that and make that decision. But we also, explorers, want to let you know that you absolutely have the right to not make that decision and to stay in the familiar, that's okay, too. If that's where you are in your evolution and your growth and your consciousness and your awareness. Awareness and your journey, great. But we're talking about that pull to do something else, to take a different action, to make a different decision. That's where that gray space, that, like, ooh, I don't know what's over there. That's where that can be daunting. [00:06:46] Speaker B: If you are in that gray space, I know two amazing coaches who could help you navigate that. [00:06:54] Speaker C: Yeah. I feel like it's what we do. [00:06:57] Speaker B: Like, like, literally what we do. [00:06:59] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:07:00] Speaker B: Great. Plug Karen without being plug. [00:07:02] Speaker C: Yeah. I mean, it's so interesting though, too, how we're like, I feel like we're both really, really good at that with other people. I. [00:07:12] Speaker B: And then Karen, not. Not too much. Karen, I need you to calm down just a little bit. Like, I need you to calm down just a little bit because. What are you saying? What. [00:07:20] Speaker C: What I'm saying is it's not as easy to do for yourself when you feel that. Like, I think what it is, is it gives me a deep understanding of the terror sometimes that we feel when we're face decision or this like, huge life change. That may only be a small life change, but we think it's huge or it's going to lead to bigger changes because we start to panic about that security. Right. About those relationships, about how things are going to shift. And I know for me, anyway, I'm not going to speak for you, Ms. Tara, but I know for me, it. It's a real thing in there that I have to really recognize and notice and acknowledge and unearth and be like, it's cool. Just chill out. Simmer down now. You know, it's okay. You're safe. Like, that's why I returned to nervous system regulation all like every day for myself, because it takes a lot of freaking courage to walk this path, to continually grow and evolve. Yeah. [00:08:19] Speaker B: I cannot tell you how many times that I have either caught myself giving someone else advice or gone through a situation and then the advice that I gave them will be regurgitated back at me. And I'm like, like, I can't tell you how many times that I've done that. And the advice is the advice that I actually needed to hear myself. [00:08:43] Speaker C: Oh, so many times. [00:08:45] Speaker B: I. So when you were saying like, oh, it's easy for us to do that. It is. And when you so often come back to yourself, you're like, wait, who said? I said. I said. I mean, we do that when we talk about recording the podcast episodes, like, when we record them, it's timely in the moment for us. We have very fresh ideas in it. And then when it comes out, we were like, wait a minute. I also needed to hear when it came out totally. [00:09:07] Speaker C: Like, not like when we recorded it a month ago. [00:09:10] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:09:10] Speaker C: But literally when it comes out, you're like, how? [00:09:13] Speaker B: It's like a three step reminder. So we have the plan, then we record it, and then it comes out and you like, every single time. Every single time it's appropriate. Every single time I say the thing that I needed to hear. Are we serious? [00:09:25] Speaker C: It's wild. And you've heard me say that too, about songs that I write. And then like a year later, I'm like, what the hell? Like, it's literally a message for me, like, from the future. I'm like, this is wild. [00:09:39] Speaker B: We've talked too, because there is this whole. We feel like we have this information problem. So we're like, when I read this book, I'll do this. And we've talked about how we've read a book in the past, before the time that we needed it, which means we had the knowledge. We. We knew it, it was there. The information was already there. We just didn't live that information out. And that could be because it wasn't time yet, or we were resistant or whatever, but the information is there. We have the knowledge. [00:10:05] Speaker C: We. [00:10:06] Speaker B: We do. [00:10:07] Speaker C: Yeah. And it's like, that's the thing. Is that what we can call information or knowledge or knowing or feeling or sensing, it's all the same thing. All of the information, it's like encoded and imprinted in our soul. And we know it, it's there, ready to be accessed whenever we're ready, whenever we think we're ready, whenever we feel ready or whatever. It's been there all along. And when you start uncovering that, you're like, damn, yeah. Like, I had the map the whole time. [00:10:36] Speaker B: There is this, like, I don't want to say surprising gap, but it is a little bit surprising when you sit down and look at, like, the space. Space between what we know and what we're willing to live out. We know that we need to rest, but we keep saying yes to all the things anyway. We know we need boundaries. We know we need to enforce and stand on our boundaries. But we keep answering the phone calls, or we know that a relationship isn't healthy, but we keep holding out hope against hope that it'll become something different. You know you need to rest. You know you need to put the phone on, do not disturb, and you know you need to walk away. But somehow we still don't do it. [00:11:16] Speaker C: It's so true. We really. We really push against. Sometimes we know what's best for us and we push against it. And where does that come from? Is that those feelings of, like, not being worthy, not being lovable, not being enough. Like, what is that? What is the root of that? Like, I feel like all humans do this. We have this thing that we know would be better for us, and we still don't do it in the moment. [00:11:43] Speaker B: I'm not saying right forever when it's not a forever. [00:11:46] Speaker C: Right, right, right, exactly. But I. I do think that evolution of consciousness and awareness is. Is a journey. It's a spiral. And when it really is the right time for us, you know, when we know something and it's the right time, we'll make the choice. You know, we'll do the thing, we'll take the action. [00:12:04] Speaker B: Do you have a specific generic. That's what I'm gonna start calling it now. This is going to be one of those. The names have been changed to prot. Innocent. Or maybe they're not innocent. The names have been changed to protect my piece. A specific situation of when you delayed something, not because you didn't have the knowing or the information, but because you weren't ready to accept what it would require to do it. [00:12:27] Speaker C: I mean, where shall I start? [00:12:29] Speaker B: I mean, everywhere, Karen. Start everywhere. [00:12:31] Speaker C: So I'm just gonna do personal. Because as much as I have people in my life and clients that I observe this with, this is personal for me. I. I have delayed breaking off a relationship when it was so clear to me. This is not serving me. This is not good for me because I was afraid to be alone or I was afraid of what it meant. I was afraid to stand up for myself or just to set the boundary. Like, I. This is not what I want. This doesn't feel good to me. And I'm not staying. Or you're not staying. One of us. [00:13:06] Speaker B: Somebody gotta go. [00:13:07] Speaker C: Somebody gotta go. So Yeah, I have definitely in the last, I would say, 10 years since my divorce, I've had opportunities in situations to practice this, and I've gotten better and better at it. I've gotten more discerning. I've gotten more clear about what I will and will not accept in my personal life and in relationship. And I've gotten very clear about the energy, the type of person that I will allow into my energy sphere. And so that's been really helpful. But, boy, it's. I would say, eight, seven years ago, I literally can recall a moment where I felt it so strongly in my body that I wanted to say this thing and I wanted to end it. And I just couldn't. I just couldn't do it. I just couldn't muscle it. And I felt something in me break a little bit. You know what I mean? And I literally. I fell to the floor and I started crying, and the person thought it was because of the opposite. [00:14:05] Speaker B: Yeah. Reason we should be together forever. No, I want you to. [00:14:09] Speaker C: And I was like, no, I actually want. I actually want you to leave. But they, you know. Anyway, it's so interesting how. I mean, I can almost still feel it in my body. That's how it was so profound. It was a moment of strength. [00:14:23] Speaker B: I absolutely understand that. We've talked about it before. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned it on the podcast. Well, thinking through the relational piece of it and being in relationship with people, like, the level of contortionism that was required to be in small relationships was like, I. I'm talking Cirque du Soleil. Listen, we're like, top. Yes. The level of contortionism that is required was something that I'm like, baby, I can't do it this way anymore. Because to your point, when you feel that thing break, I know very well what that feeling is. And it's like, I am no longer willing to contort and pay the cost with my peace, my joy, my energy, my time, my identity. Because this cost is too much. And it is. I know once that thing broke and once I've moved in the direction of the knowing that I need that, I already knew if I stayed any longer, I was just postponing the life that I know I had already been called and invited to live. [00:15:34] Speaker C: Yes. And there's an element, right, of that. Like, we're discounting ourselves, right? We're. We're putting ourselves. We're marking ourselves down on sale clearance. [00:15:43] Speaker B: Not bargain basement nobody. [00:15:45] Speaker C: Just, like, just discounting ourselves and our worth when we do that when we, when we choose to stay in something that does not serve, that doesn't serve [00:15:53] Speaker B: either party involved is not served well when we do that in our relationship. [00:15:58] Speaker C: Right. It's not just about us. It's like sometimes you have to be the person who has the courage to call it because it's not good for either one of you. So. Yeah. Wow. [00:16:08] Speaker B: That was a journey. Okay, the first segment. Karen, what the heck? [00:16:12] Speaker C: Oh, my God. What on earth? What is this gonna be? 3 hour podcast episode. [00:16:16] Speaker B: I don't know. This might be. This might be one of the ones. So if the information isn't the issue, what do you explore, think it is? Like, if the information isn't the issue, what is it? And that answer looks different for everyone. But I know a big part of why I didn't move is fear. Like, we don't want to disappoint someone. We don't want to make the air quotes, wrong decision. We don't want to change. We don't want to be super successful. We don't want to be misunderstood. In my best Nina Simone voice, don't let me be misunderstood. But also, baby, misunderstand me. Please do, please. I want like the thing that it's not even misunderstanding. Like, I want you to be wrong about me. Please knock yourself out. Because I'm good with me and I don't want. I think I know and I feel that our biggest calling is to bring as many people into. Into love and out into the light, baby. Well, I didn't want to say into the light because then it made me think about death. And I'm like, oh, look into the light, Carolyn. Like, no poltergeist. Like it was. It did a whole thing. But like the opposite of fear and into love. [00:17:42] Speaker C: It's. [00:17:42] Speaker B: Love is into love. So in doing that, to tie it back into self trust, like bringing yourself into love and away from or processing more quickly through the fear, is how you build that self trust with yourself. So instead of continuing to ask yourself the same question over and over again or checking with all the people about all the things and things that you need to do, like, listen to yourself. Listen to what? Your love of yourself, your big love, whatever it is, listen to it. Listen to the love of your body because your body knows, your soul knows, your spirit. It already knows. Information isn't the problem. You have permission. That is the difference. Not the information. But giving yourself permission to move and act and be okay however it goes. [00:18:28] Speaker C: I mean, sometimes you're gonna pull the piece out of the Jenga Tower and shit's gonna fall and that's gonna be like, it's okay. You have to re. You just. Yeah. The being true to yourself and really listening to that voice, I think that. That if I had to say, you know, what is the one thing? What is the one rule that would be the one, like being true to yourself, listening to yourself to your heart and living that being, that it's overriding the ego brain, it's overriding the reptilian brain that says, like, I won't survive. I'll be alone, I'll be cast out. [00:19:00] Speaker B: Right? [00:19:01] Speaker C: You have to override that to just know that you are safe. For me anyway. I find it in the stillness, in the breathing and the regulation of my nervous system and just being like, it's so. I'm like, I'm not leaving you. I'm like, I'm here for you. We're good. I love you, you know, and sort of reminding myself of those things. [00:19:20] Speaker B: So when we think about the fear factor, is there a time where you felt the tension between what you knew internally and what was expected of you from everyone else? Like, you're like, I know I need to do this thing. But everyone else, all of the voices, all of the people around you are like, are you sure? [00:19:42] Speaker C: Oh, hell yeah. I mean, the thing that comes to mind immediately is when I was graduating college. And first of all, no songwriter actually needs to go to college for music. So that's number one. Not believing in myself enough or thinking it was an option to just go and do the thing, feeling like I needed certifications and diplomas and people's approval. And, well, they say that this is going to be hard if I do it this way. So maybe they know something I don't. I'm only in my early 20s and listening, but knowing in my heart, like, what I really, really wanted to do. And for years I discounted that. I didn't do it. I didn't live the creative, fulfilling life that I felt called to live at that time because I was listening to all of these external voices saying, well, it's not really practical. Well, you know how hard it is and screw it. [00:20:30] Speaker B: So when you think about younger Karen making this decision, what do you think was actually it stake in the decision to be a songwriter the way that you wanted to. [00:20:40] Speaker C: I would have needed to undeniably believe in myself, and I didn't have that muscle well trained yet. I was too afraid, maybe, or I was unaware about the gift and about my creativity and just sort of doubted my ability to be able to pull it off. I think it comes down to is that she didn't believe in herself. Because if she did and if she thought even one other person at that time was just like, yeah, totally, you know, I, I didn't need the external validation in retrospect. But I think if I knew, if I really understood in my heart that it's a possibility, like, for me, if I knew for myself this is a possibility, you can do whatever the hell you want to do, like, there are no limits, I would have done it. I think I just didn't know how to believe in myself. [00:21:29] Speaker B: I feel like that's. That's like the story of a lot of people in their 20s, especially women, outsourcing their wisdom and knowledge. And that has been culturally ingrained in us. Like, oh, of course these people know better than I do. I think about it in terms of when I moved to my city, when I entered my first grown up career, like, oh, are you sure you want to do that? Yeah, I think, I think it'll be fine. I mean, I don't actually know if it's going to be fine, but I think this is what I need to do. And you and I have talked a lot about how that decision for me came a lot younger. Like I was in my 20s. Like, yeah, I'm a do this. I don't know how it's going to work out. Or I just want to do this. It's my life, gosh darn it, I'm going to live it how I want to. Like, that was permission. [00:22:20] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:22:21] Speaker B: Oh, or you should do this thing. And I'm like, no, that's going to be a waste of my time. I'm not doing that. [00:22:27] Speaker C: That. [00:22:27] Speaker B: That's like, probably my motto. Put it on a T shirt. Tara said, I'm not doing it. You can do whatever you want to do, but I'm not doing it. [00:22:34] Speaker C: Yeah, that's so true. It's so true. And I did. Yeah, I definitely didn't have that level of. I mean, whether you want to call it confidence or belligerent or stubbornness or whatever. [00:22:44] Speaker B: Or stubbornness. It is stubbornness. [00:22:47] Speaker C: I will do what you say. Yeah. Like I, you know, if I. [00:22:51] Speaker B: Even if I want to do the thing that you told me to do, I'm gonna do the opposite because you told me to do it. That's me. That is in my DNA. You have met the people in my bloodline. This is. I am who I am. [00:23:05] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:23:06] Speaker B: Please be wrong about me. Like, oh, whatever. [00:23:08] Speaker C: I celebrate it. I love It. [00:23:10] Speaker B: All right. [00:23:11] Speaker C: Yeah. Looking back at it, we both had that experience of that moment of, like. And you chose liberation, self permission, for whatever reason. That was your mode. Mine was the opposite and just continued to kind of bury myself until I could no longer. But I do think that it is in. Insidiously embedded in our culture for women. And, like, I look back and I think, oh, my God, how did. I have no idea. The limitless possibilities. And I'm not even talking about being a songwriter, like, for my actual career. I'm talking about, like, I love plants. I could have been in horticulture. Like, I didn't know about all these [00:23:47] Speaker B: options of the world. Floral arranger, like you. I mean, we'll pick out the things and together. And I'll be like, what? And it'll be a simple arrangement. I'll be like, I'mma go buy the bouquet from Whole Foods. [00:23:59] Speaker C: So, like, there's all these ways to be creative. Right. And to choose ourselves. I think, at least for me, that is a lesson that I carry forward, that I am very passionate about communicating to my own children. Like, you can literally do anything. Like, I love you, no matter. And you do what makes your heart happy, you do what brings you joy, and I will be on the sidelines cheering you every step of the way. Like, what do you do? How can I support it? [00:24:23] Speaker B: And I think the biggest way that we communicate that, not just to our children, but to everyone around us, is that that's how we live. Yeah. [00:24:30] Speaker C: Really, this phrase is overused, but unapologetically, that's just how I feel. I'm just doing me. I'm doing what I've always wanted to do. I'm expressing and exploring my gifts, my creativity, my intuitiveness, the. The shamanist perspective of me, and I'm just being who I am. And as you say, if you don't get it or you don't like it, I have no business caring about that. [00:24:57] Speaker B: Okay. So if. [00:24:59] Speaker C: If this feels a little bit more like a therapy session, for me, this is. [00:25:03] Speaker B: If this is what you need in this moment, then, baby, take it as that. But since. And because certainty comes after we take action, I feel like we would be remiss not to give at least a way or two. But for an explorer who is navigating this awakening to get to a place where that decision to move, like, that choice from just knowing the things and hearing the voice and actually doing the thing, one way that works for me, you gonna get maybe tired of me and Karen saying that. But sitting in the quiet, you Might not be able to do the full 30 minutes. Maybe five minutes, two minutes. Five minutes. Set the timer for five minutes. It'll go by a lot quicker than you think it will if you've never done it before. But check in, do a quick body scan. You've came into this with, you know, a pen and paper. So once you've, like, checked in, what do I need? Where am I right now? And journal about this decision. This is the choice that I need to make. Or this is the situation where I'm stuck. And be like, what do I already know about what I need here or what I want here? What do you already know? And what is one step, not the whole plan, teeny tiny step that you could take to move from what you already know or what you know that you need. [00:26:21] Speaker C: Yeah, I think that's brilliant. My suggestion was going to be sitting and still isn't journaling. So literally, I do it at the end of every workshop that I lead. Right. These sound healing workshops. The last 10 minutes is dedicated to what I call free writing. It's stream of consciousness. Right. Of just like sitting with what you know. You know. [00:26:39] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:26:40] Speaker C: Right. And asking the right question, asking better questions. [00:26:43] Speaker B: It's when you do that, when you get quiet, when you sit with yourself, when you are honest with yourself about what it is you need or want and know, it's not going to be this dramatic thing that happens. You're going to be like, well, I know I need to make this phone call or I need to sit and keep this boundary. I need to sign up for this class. I need to say no. I need to go take a nap. All of those things are a way to be in agreement, in alignment with your inner knowing and your self trust in coherent connection. [00:27:18] Speaker C: Right? Yes. [00:27:19] Speaker B: Yeah. Because it's asking you to stop negotiating or arguing with the answers that you already have. [00:27:26] Speaker C: Like, right. [00:27:26] Speaker B: You already know. [00:27:27] Speaker C: Like, yeah, you already know the thing. Even write the thing down. But I know this is what feels true for me now. What? [00:27:34] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:27:36] Speaker B: Okay. This has been a. I don't even know how in the world we already here. [00:27:43] Speaker C: Yeah. It was a lot of terrain. [00:27:46] Speaker B: It is absolutely time for a brain. That's to move the body, move our bodies. This is what we know, and we're gonna act on it. [00:27:54] Speaker C: Yeah. That's what I need right now. [00:27:57] Speaker B: Yes. This song is from one of our favorite artists and I love it because it reminds us that our lives are shaped not by the big decisions that we make once or twice, but by each and every small decision that we make during the day and how our self trust grows each time we choose to honor what is true. The song is I Choose by India Ari. [00:28:26] Speaker A: Check out this week's song on the YO Podcast playlist on Spotify. [00:28:35] Speaker C: I have accepted. I have to quote this. Life is going to do what it going to do. Every day I have the opportunity to choose. Life is going to do what it going to do. [00:28:43] Speaker B: Life is going to choose to do what it do. I choose to be the best that I can be. I choose to be authentic in everything I do. And as I was dancing, my new favorite song. Listen. As I was dancing and transported back to when I first had this cd, I was like, wait, is this me and India? I've been rocking with her since. Since the beginning. So I'm like, now if I'm in my 20s, listening to this song on repeat, listening to this album, listening and watching an artist be all of who she is with these positive love, light and joy messages, then it's like, yeah, I'm. I'll choose, like, if that's what I'm listening to in my twenties, in the year. That's how it goes. This is the message that's being reinforced. Then. Yeah, then that's what's gonna happen. [00:29:38] Speaker C: Oh, that's so great. [00:29:39] Speaker B: Things happens. That was amazing, India. [00:29:41] Speaker C: Oh, that was so good. That was so. In my body. We love you so much, India. [00:29:45] Speaker B: Oh, gosh, that was such a good song. [00:29:47] Speaker C: Oh, man. I felt that. And I felt in my heart, all I was thinking was, first of all, the baritone sex. Need I say more? But, like, just the groove. I was like, like, she is putting together groove, which I love, and like these beautiful messages, which I love. I'm like, there's got to be a way. There's got to be a way for me to sort of, you know. [00:30:09] Speaker B: Yeah. Use. [00:30:09] Speaker C: Inspired by that. Use that. There's a way, like, it can be empowered and joyful and uplifting. [00:30:16] Speaker B: Exactly. [00:30:17] Speaker C: Loving. Right? Yeah. [00:30:18] Speaker B: All right, time for the question of the day. When life do what it do. Yeah, when life do what it do. What is one truth that you negotiated with? [00:30:32] Speaker C: Negotiated. That's an interesting word. So meaning something that I tweaked or something that I sort of acknowledged. Right. [00:30:40] Speaker B: I think it could go either way. Which is leading you. [00:30:43] Speaker C: Well, I just think for me, as. When life do what it do, like, I am aware enough now and maybe always was to go into nature and just be like. And like, simplify, like, really pull things back and just simplify and just like, get to just get in connection with nature. [00:31:02] Speaker D: Right. [00:31:02] Speaker C: Because nature is my nature and there's so many answers there. And so I just find it to be such a peaceful unplugging so that I can hear myself and I can. I can know what I need to know. [00:31:18] Speaker B: I am going to piggyback off of what you said and also bring it all the way back around to what we've been talking about this entire episode when, like, you do. [00:31:27] Speaker C: You're so good at. [00:31:28] Speaker B: Truth that I negotiate with is that I know. [00:31:34] Speaker C: Is that the end of the sentence? [00:31:36] Speaker B: That is the end of the sentence. I thought it was. [00:31:37] Speaker C: I know. [00:31:38] Speaker B: But the truth that I negotiate with is that I know I. I know what I need to do. I know when I need to do it. I know the answer that I'm looking for is not going to come from anybod else except for when I get quiet and move from what I know. Not what anyone else told me to do or say or be or behave like. I know. I know what it feels like to live in agreement and alignment with my body. And I know what it feels like not to do that. And I know which one I prefer. [00:32:08] Speaker C: Yeah, I was just saying. I know. I prefer I choose. [00:32:11] Speaker B: The negotiated truth is. I know. And it's big decisions or subtle decisions, but when life do what it do, that's the one. [00:32:20] Speaker C: I think it's so, like, if we could just all remember that as like baseline mantra. Like I know. Just it just. And just accept that as 100 truth. Because I really do believe it is true for all of us. We actually do know. So if we can accept that as things are coming at us, even if we in the moment feel like we're going under the waves, just trust and know that you are actually, you're gonna come out of this and you're gonna do exactly what you need to do, and you're gonna be exactly who you need to be. I think that's really important. I know. Moving from what I know. I'm gonna be writing a song later today, sister. [00:32:53] Speaker B: Yes. Love it. [00:32:55] Speaker C: So clear, so simple. I know. [00:32:57] Speaker D: We all. [00:32:58] Speaker C: We all know. Just lean into that. Don't be afraid to know what you know. [00:33:05] Speaker B: Yeah. Don't be afraid. All right. I have a quote from Steve Jobs. Right. Seems like that's who we. [00:33:14] Speaker C: Yeah. Okay. [00:33:16] Speaker B: Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary. Okay, Steve. [00:33:29] Speaker C: Okay. Okay. [00:33:31] Speaker B: Steve Got something to say about. [00:33:33] Speaker C: I have read a little bit about him and that he really did, like, go into Like Einstein did we go into like the phases of like, just deep trust, just going with intuition, even when everyone else around was like, you're insane, man. You know? [00:33:46] Speaker B: Thank you. [00:33:47] Speaker C: Yeah, thank you, thank you. [00:33:49] Speaker B: Yes, thank you. It's only insane and crazy until it all works out. You're like, oh, yeah, exactly. Yeah. And what I really like about this quote is that he's not claiming that your heart or intuition, he's not saying your heart intuition knows every detail. [00:34:06] Speaker A: Right. [00:34:06] Speaker B: What I believe he's saying is that they already know what and who you truly want to become, what you truly want to do. And that is a different kind of knowing. It's not the information knowing. And the biggest hurdle for me in this type of knowing is that it's not the whole map, just the direction. Go north. [00:34:30] Speaker A: What? [00:34:31] Speaker B: For how long? Until when? [00:34:33] Speaker C: Like, I'm gonna need some more facts, please. [00:34:37] Speaker B: And it's like, no, go north. [00:34:38] Speaker C: Just go north. When you start going north, I will say the next thing, but go north. [00:34:45] Speaker B: Do I need a coat? Like, go, go. [00:34:49] Speaker C: Just go. Step to it. [00:34:52] Speaker B: Oh my goodness. [00:34:54] Speaker C: That's so good. Yeah. [00:34:55] Speaker B: This has been great. Until next time, explorer. Wherever your journey takes you, may you remember that sometimes the answer that you've been looking for has been waiting inside of you all along. [00:35:09] Speaker C: Yeah. The best thing you can do for yourself is to listen to your heart, to follow your joy, and to take that one next right action for you. We love you so much. Thanks for joining us. Take good care.
